Button Hook Aligner Attachment

INDICATIONS FOR USE: The Reliance Button Hook Aligner Attachments are intended for use in securing
an elastic to a thermoplastic aligner or enamel surface.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
For Placement of Hook Attachment onto a Thermoplastic Aligner:
1. Aligner must be clean and dry where button hook will be placed. Do not roughen.
2. Fill button hook aligner attachment mold with Bond Aligner adhesive and position on the prepared
portion of the thermoplastic aligner.
3. Light cure for 10 seconds through the Button hook aligner attachment mold and remove mold.
4. Light cure the composite button for an additional 10 seconds.
5. Secure elastic onto the aligner.
For Placement of Hook Attachment directly onto enamel surface:
1. Prophy, rinse and dry.
2. Etch with 37% Phosphoric Acid, rinse and dry.
3. Apply one coat of Assure® Universal Bonding Resin or Assure® Plus, lightly dry with air. If the
enamel does not appear shiny, repeat process.
6. Fill button hook aligner attachment mold with a flowable composite such as Flowtain™ and
position attachment on the enamel surface. Do not use Bond Aligner adhesive when bonding
directly to enamel.
4. Light cure through the Button hook aligner attachment mold for 10 seconds and remove mold.
5. Light cure the composite button for an additional 10 seconds
6. Secure elastic onto the aligner.
